CV
He graduated from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (1984) with a degree in artistic photography. He habilitated as docent in the field of study 2.2.1 Fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (2011). Presently, he is a head of the Studio of Communication in the Medium of Photography at the Department of Art Communication at the Faculty of Mass Media Communication of the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava. He has exhibited his works individually or as a part of a collective in the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Italy, England, Sweden, Finland, Greece, France, Poland, Russia, Japan, USA.

He has received numerous awards for his artwork: Award at III. Biennale of Photography, Cheb (1988), plaque and Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary at international festival Art to Days in Budapest (1990); Winner of national round of international contest of documentary photography Fuji Film Euro Press Photo Awards in the category “Life” (1997, 1998); The Slovak Union of Visual Arts Award at the Biennale of Free Arts (2010); For professional activities and membership in district, regional, and nationwide commissions of the AMFO Slovakia competition, Director General of the Cultural Centre awarded him the “Honour of the National Cultural Centre” for lifetime contributions to the organization of AMFO competitions; He received Fra Angelico Award in the visual arts section (2019) by the ECS Council for Art; Honorable mention of the Slovak Art Union at the Biennale of Free Visual Arts festival (2024).
